Montgomery County’s second Tatte Bakery & Café will open on Wednesday, November 20th, at 5400 Westbard Ave in Bethesda. Photos from a friends and family event held on Monday, November 18th, were shared with us, offering a sneak peek of the new location.
Tatte first made its mark in Montgomery County with its initial Maryland location, which opened at 7276 Wisconsin Ave in Bethesda in March 2021. The bakery has another location under construction in Rockville’s Towne Plaza at 12232 Rockville Pike, expected to open by late December or January.
Tatte is known for its pastries, desserts, brunch dishes, and more. Menu offerings include Spinach & Labne Pita, Cheese Bourekas, Halva Bomb, a variety of shakshukas, coffees, salads, and more.
Founder and pastry chef Tzurit Or started Tatte Bakery fifteen years ago in her home kitchen, selling her creations at Boston’s Copley Square farmers market. For Tzurit, creating Tatte was about more than just building a successful business; it was about creating a sense of home and community as an immigrant to the United States. Tatte’s mission is to bring people together through exceptional food and pastries, providing comfort and belonging.
The bakery’s team of chefs, pastry chefs, bakers, cooks, baristas, and café staff are committed to maintaining the highest standards and nurturing life every day through the power of food. Tatte expresses deep gratitude for the communities and neighborhoods it serves, and for the incredible support of its fans across the country.
