Starbucks received a $475,000 permit for interior construction at the upcoming White Oak Town Center location (12345 Columbia Pike). The store has now officially opened its doors.
Starbucks is one of several tenants at the White Oak Town Center development, joining a lineup that includes the ‘coming soon’ European Wax Center, Jersey Mike’s, Inspire Nail Bar, Dave’s Hot Chicken, Oak Barrel & Vine, and an unconfirmed grocery store tenant—speculated to be Amazon Fresh based on the store’s design. While opening dates haven’t been finalized, many are expected to launch by the end of the year.
Starbucks has been expanding its presence in Montgomery County, recently debuting a standalone location in Westbard this August (in addition to the existing Starbucks inside the Westbard Giant). The new Aspen Hill store at 13677 Connecticut Ave—formerly home to the Dress Barn—opened shortly thereafter. Another new Starbucks is set to arrive at 12605 Wisteria Dr. in Germantown, taking over the space once occupied by SunTrust/Truist bank.
