Tara Thai will be permanently closing its Rockville location at 12071 Rockville Pike in Montrose Crossing, confirmed by a representative this afternoon.
The beloved local establishment will cease operations on Sunday, June 30th. Last year, Tara Thai also closed its Westfield Montgomery Mall location at 7101 Democracy Blvd in Bethesda, with Brio’s Chicken subsequently taking over the space.
In April 2022, the Gaithersburg location at 9811 Washington Blvd in Rio closed its doors and was replaced by Charley Prime. There has been no announcement regarding a replacement for the Rockville location at Montrose Crossing.
The initial report of the Rockville closure came from Winterman at Ruffandtuffrecordings on Facebook and was later verified by a MoCoShow staff member on Sunday afternoon.
