Upcoming Additions to Twinbrook Quarter, Future Site of Wegmans

The Milton Apartments Open for Residents at Twinbrook Quarter, Rockville

The Milton apartments are now open for residents at Twinbrook Quarter in Rockville, soon to be home to Montgomery County’s second Wegmans. Here’s a look at the confirmed businesses set to open in this vibrant new development.

Road Enhancements and Wegmans Update

Halpine Road underwent significant upgrades this past summer, with new medians and plantings now in place. Sidewalk surfacing and tree planting were completed following fiber optic work. Although Wegmans is expected to open in 2025, an exact opening date has yet to be confirmed.

New Restaurants Joining Twinbrook Quarter

  • Terra Gaucha: This authentic Brazilian Churrascaria steakhouse will be located at the corner of Festival St. and Chapman Ave., just off Rockville Pike behind Wegmans. With established locations in Tampa and Jacksonville, Florida, and a recent opening in Stamford, Connecticut, Terra Gaucha is also planning an upcoming restaurant in Indianapolis.
  • Genki Wagyu House: Known for its all-you-can-eat Wagyu offerings, Genki Wagyu House will occupy space at Festival Street and Rockville Pike, next to Wegmans. Already a favorite at its Fairfax location, known as Genki Izakaya, the Rockville restaurant is targeting an opening in 2025.
  • Molly Tea: Originating from Shenzhen, China, Molly Tea specializes in jasmine tea beverages. Rooted in Chinese tea culture, Molly Tea uses top-quality mountain tea leaves, scented with jasmine and other florals to showcase the essence of traditional teas. Molly Tea will share space with Genki Wagyu House, offering customers a unique fusion of beverages and cuisine.
  • ZiZa Kabob: Opening its second location in Twinbrook Quarter, ZiZa Kabob brings Afghan family recipes to Rockville. Known for its homemade dishes, ZiZa Kabob is associated with Baltimore’s Maiwand Grill and Kabul Grill and opened its first restaurant in Jessup, MD.
  • Bonne Nail Bar: Bonne Nail Bar has also signed on to open Chapman Ave. in between ZiZa Kabob and a still-vacant space. There are now just three vacant retail/restaurant spaces available in the development, including a 4,283 SF space on the corner of Chapman Ave and Halpine Rd.
