Washingtonian Magazine has revealed the results of its “Readers Favorite Restaurants” article, with a Montgomery County establishment taking the top spot in the ‘Best Restaurant in Maryland’ category. Bob’s Shanghai 66, situated at 305 N Washington St in Rockville, secured the first position according to readers. Washingtonian notes, “Start your Chinese feast with the best soup dumplings in town, then wind down with a mountain of shaved ice.”
The restaurant, which has been in operation for a decade, has rapidly become a local staple since its founding in Rockville in 2013. Bob’s Shanghai 66 has garnered recognition from various sources, including the Washingtonian Restaurant Guide, the Washington Post, Yelp, and Zagat Survey.
Among the menu favorites are the Pork XLB (soup dumplings) and the crab pork dumplings. Other specialty dishes include Spicy Szechuan Style Sliced Beef, Salt and Pepper Crispy Jumbo shrimp, and Spicy Pork Wonton. The restaurant provides photos of most of its dishes on the website menu.
