Wawa has announced its “Cheers to Classrooms” initiative, which will celebrate teachers and school staff by offering free any size hot coffee and fountain beverages. This program will launch in the Mid-Atlantic region, including PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, NC, and Washington D.C., starting in September 2024.
Montgomery County’s only Wawa, located in Gaithersburg, will be participating in this initiative. Teachers and school staff can take advantage of the offer by informing the associate at the register that they are part of a local school system. The offer is valid in-store only and cannot be redeemed via the Wawa App or delivery services.
Robert Yeatts, Senior Director of Store Operations at Wawa, remarked, “As everyday heroes of the classroom return back to school, we’re delighted to toast a new year by providing free coffee and beverages to teachers and school staff for the first two weeks of August.” (Note: This reference pertains to the program in Florida and Alabama; the Mid-Atlantic launch is set for September.) “We hope this small gesture shows our deep appreciation for everything educators and school staff do for children in the community.”
