The chain has been actively renovating numerous local restaurants, necessitating the recent closure of the entire store during these significant changes. While the interior had been closed earlier, the kitchen and drive-thru remained operational.
Although a specific re-opening date is currently unavailable, historical data suggests that major renovations at other nearby locations typically take a couple of months to complete. Wendy’s has a tendency to celebrate reopenings by offering giveaways for free food, including opportunities for free food for a year. This trend was observed at the 808 Rockville Pike (Rockville) location last month and more recently at 18425 Woodfield Rd (Gaithersburg) and 15807 Frederick Rd (Derwood) locations.
