ZiZa Kabob to Expand with Rockville Location

ZiZa Kabob, known for its Afghan family recipes, is opening a second location in the Twinbrook Quarter development, home to the soon-to-arrive Wegmans in Rockville. The restaurant’s first location is in Jessup at 7351 Assateague Dr. ZiZa Kabob is affiliated with well-known Baltimore eateries, Maiwand Grill and Kabul Grill.

ZiZa Kabob offers a menu inspired by homemade Afghan dishes. Per its website, “After years of enjoying these wonderful dishes as a family, we decided it was time to share them with the city we call home. The key elements of Afghan Cuisine consist of rich, flavorful spices that draw influence from Afghanistan’s unique history and the surrounding countries; next is a high-quality and delicately handled diverse set of meats; and lastly is the flavorful and aromatic rice.” The full menu can be seen here.

ZiZa Kabob will be joining several other restaurants in the Twinbrook Quarter, including Terra Gaucha, an authentic Brazilian steakhouse, and Genki Wagyu House and Molly Tea. Terra Gaucha will be located at the corner of Festival St. and Chapman Ave., while Genki Wagyu House and Molly Tea will be at the corner of Festival Street and Rockville Pike, next to the future Wegmans, which is expected to open in 2025.
