Blueridge Restaurant Group has revealed its intentions to rebrand all Stanford-branded restaurants as “Glenwood’s” within the upcoming months.
This includes the Stanford Grill located at 2000 Tower Oaks Blvd in Rockville, originally named after its inaugural establishment on Stanford Boulevard in Columbia, MD, which opened its doors 13 years ago. Blueridge Restaurant Group is also the operator of Copper Canyon Grill, with locations in Gaithersburg and Silver Spring.
As stated in a press release, the shift to “Glenwood’s” aligns with Blueridge’s broader geographic expansion plan, aiming to grow its current seven operating units to 20 in the next several years. The initial focus of expansion will target nearby states, with the ultimate goal of establishing a nationwide presence.
According to Managing Member David Jones, “Since the inception of Stanford Grill, our dedication has been towards providing the local community with an upscale yet approachable dining experience that prioritizes meticulous attention to detail. Our approach revolves around understanding our guests’ desires rather than being self-centered. Upholding our commitment to consistently deliver delectable cuisine, refined service, and an aesthetically pleasing ambiance has been and will remain our top priority. While the introduction of this new name brings anticipation for our company’s future, we will remain true to the principles that have positioned us as one of the most sought-after dining destinations in our region. These principles define who we are, and we will steadfastly adhere to them, irrespective of our name.”
